my baby:
can hear my heartbeat, voices and music
is growing a scalp pattern (no hair yet though...)
has fingernails and toenails
has his/her ears and eyes in their permanent places
can suck his/her thumb by reflex (the sucking)
is pumping 25 quarts of blood through his/her tiny heart every day
measures about 4-5" and weighs about 3-5 oz.
has a heartbeat of 160 bpm (I know, we heard it today :))
also has lots of space to hide because of my long and spacious torso (this we also found out today)
is letting me eat more and more without heartburn
has see-through red "skin" (aren't enough fat deposits under the skin yet to make it opaque)
jumps at loud noises...although, I can't feel the dancing and punching just yet...
has formed ovaries (if Baby is a girl)
any song suggestions I should predispose the wee one to this early on? I've read they recognize familiar tunes after they are born :) Gotta start them early with the "good stuff" right?
